Alexander S. - 11.07.2019 "Raise Your Fist And Yell" is Alice Cooper's second attempt to climb to the top of hard rock, and it is worth saying quite a successful attempt. 1987 - a new wave of British heavy metal slowly began to lose ground, the era of glam began, and how not to call Alice's creative face at this time - there is a glam here, which is not so bad - if Cooper suddenly began to play technically Hevi, it was primarily boring, and, of course, meaningless. No, he went a more cunning way - he adopted a powerful sound of pseudo-metal, making the choruses extremely heroic, and the music itself is a hell of a hit. So, now get to know: the new Ellis Cooper - tough guitar riffs, plump dense drums, and, of course - lyrics about all sorts of things, ranging from brainless rock'n'roll ideas, to deep thoughtful and thoughtful horror stories from nightmares! Although the music is new, but Alice Cooper has not ceased to be the king of those nightmares who visited the rock fans in the seventies. The album opens with a powerful and killer drum thresher - “Freedom”: very bright and rollicking, this should be the revolution of subjects fighting for their freedom. “Lock Me Up” - “if you don’t like me, you can lock me up”, it seems that in this song the song “No More Mr. Nice Guy. ” True aggression erupts from Cooper's throat when he sings assertive and brutal numbers “Step On You”, “Not That Kind Of Love” and “Time To Kill” - time to kill, and that says it all. From the insinuating and frightened "Gail" I want to hide in a corner and cry softly, because we never see the big Gail. This number is almost the best that Alice invented in the horror horror style. Well, and the darkness Cooper let black and mystical song "Prince Of Darkness"! The final composition “Roses On White Lace” was a hurricane during the storm, and the whole spirit of the album “Raise Your Fist And Yell” was in it: darkness, despair, razdolbaystvo still reigned in Mr. Nightmare’s head, and even madness - just like on the cover of a disc created as if by a crazy genius. Do not miss this album if you are a fan of hard rock and heavy metal.
