Beschreibung:For it's eighth volume, Haydn2032 invites us on a musical journey that takes the Balkan route. Of all the 'Viennese Classical School', Joseph Haydn is certainly the composer closest to folk music, first because he spent his early years in the countryside and also because, unlike his colleagues who worked in the urban centers of the Habsburg monarchy, Haydn was in contact with Croats, Roma and Hungarians throughout his life. These influences were omnipresent in his music, to the delight of Prince Nikolaus I Esterházy and his guests, but by some accounts were not to the taste of many music theorists in Germany. Haydn gave his Symphony no.63 in C major the title of 'La Roxolana', from the famous sixteenth-century sultana who was the wife of Suleiman the Magnificent after having been his slave. As usual, Giovanni Antonini, who is reunited here with Il Giardino Armonico, juxtaposes Haydn's music with that of another composer. The natural choice here was Béla Bartók, who is represented by his Romanian Folk Dances, composed in 1917., Runningtime: 00:00:00, Advisor [Literary Advisor]: Alain Claude Sulzer, Advisor [Scholary Advisors]: Christian Moritz-Bauer, Advisor [Scholary Advisors]: Wolfgang Fuhrmann, Bassoon: Alberto Guerra, Booklet Editor [Editor]: Amélie Boccon-Gibod, Cello: Elena Russo, Cello: Marcello Scandelli, Cello [Principal]: Paolo Beschi, Chalumeau: Giovanni Antonini, Conductor: Giovanni Antonini, Design, Artwork: Valérie Lagarde, Double Bass: Stefan Preyer, Double Bass [Principal]: Giancarlo De Frenza, Flute: Marco Brolli, Flute [Traversa]: Giovanni Antonini, Harpsichord: Emiliano Rodolfi, Horn [Natural Horn]: Edward Deskur, Horn [Natural Horn]: Johannes Hinterholzer, Liner Notes: Christian Moritz-Bauer, Liner Notes: Giovanni Antonini, Liner Notes: Mathias Enard, Liner Notes [English Translation]: Charles Johnston, Liner Notes [English Translation]: Charlotte Mandell, Liner Notes [French Translation]: Dennis Collins (2), Liner Notes [French Translation]: Laurent Cantagrel, Liner Notes [German Translation]: Holger Fock, Liner Notes [German Translation]: Sabine Mülle, Liner Notes [German Translation]: Susanne Lowien, Management [Director Alpha Classics]: Didier Martin, Management [Il Giardino Armonico]: Grazia Bilotta, Management [Il Giardino Armonico]: Przemek Loho, Management [Joseph Haydn Stiftung]: Caroline Knapp, Management [Joseph Haydn Stiftung]: Niklas Brodmann, Oboe: Emiliano Rodolfi, Oboe: Thomas Meraner, Orchestra: Il Giardino Armonico, Photography By [Additional Photos (Christian Moritz-Bauer)]: Reinhard Winkler, Photography By [Additional Photos (Giovanni Antonini)]: Federico Emmi, Photography By [Additional Photos (Il Giardino Armonico)]: Heike Kandalowski, Photography By [Additional Photos (Mark Power)]: Chilli Coles Power, Photography By [Photo Gallery]: Magnum Photos, Photography By [Photo Gallery]: Mark Power (3), Producer [Recording Producer], Edited By [Editing], Mastered By [Mastering]: Jean-Daniel Noir, Typography: Scala Pro, Viola: Alice Bisanti, Viola: Carlo De Martini, Viola: Liana Mosca, Viola: Mirjam Töws, Viola [Principal]: Ernesto Braucher, Violin [1st Violin, Principal]: Stefano Barneschi, Violin [1st Violin]: Ayako Matsunaga, Violin [1st Violin]: Boris Begelman, Violin [1st Violin]: Fabrizio Cipriani, Violin [1st Violin]: Judith Huber (2), Violin [1st Violin]: Liana Mosca, Violin [2nd Violin, Principal]: Marco Bianchi (3), Violin [2nd Violin]: Chiara Zanisi, Violin [2nd Violin]: Esther Crazzolara, Violin [2nd Violin]: Francesco Colletti, Violin [2nd Violin]: Maria Cristina Vasi, Composed By: Joseph Haydn, Composed By: Joseph Haydn, Composed By: Béla Bartók, Composed By: Anonymous, Composed By: Joseph Haydn, Composed By: Joseph Haydn, Composed By: Joseph Haydn, Composed By: Béla Bartók, Composed By: Anonymous, Composed By: Joseph Haydn, Labelcode ALLP683.1 (ALPHA 683, ALPHA 682), Phonographic Copyright (p) Joseph Haydn Stiftung, Phonographic Copyright (p) Alpha Classics, Phonographic Copyright (p) Outhere Music France, Copyright (c) Alpha Classics, Copyright (c) Outhere Music France, Copyright (c) Mark Power (3), Copyright (c) Heike Kandalowski, Copyright (c) Federico Emmi, Copyright (c) Chilli Coles Power, Copyright (c) Reinhard Winkler, Published By Alpha Classics, Recorded At Toblach Kulturzentrum, Dobbiaco Centro Culturale, Pressed By GZ Media, Pressed By SNAdisc
