The Rack defines the word Brutality with it's chainsaw sounding guitars and sick vocals which sounds like vocalist Martin Van Drunen is being tortured during the recording of this CD. Contains 11 Live bonus tracks 1991. (2007), Labelcode IMT975940.2
Not a bad debut by one of the best death metal bands from the Netherlands

An album sounds like a nuclear bomb detonating. Of the early albums - in my opinion this is the strongest, although it was recorded in just a couple of days. Edition with bonuses in the form of live tracks, sounding no less interesting than the original recording. I prefer the anniversary re-release of the album with a bonus disc with cover versions.

This album is so much brutal! After leaving "pestilence"the holy monster called Martin Van Drunen joined Asphyx and the result was that monstrosity!Savage... From the beginning till the end!

First Asphyx album and it is really great death metal. Without blast beats, just speed, fluid and adrenaline songs. Highly recommended if you like Pestilence.

Raw, classical death metal. Rotation of hard slow melodies with fast riffs always recognizable and became their own attribute.
