 | Beschreibung: | Saxman / keyboard player Clive Stevens from Bristol, England, was among the earliest to explore the nexus of jazzrock and electric jazz in his two 1974 albums. And both releases, "Atmospheres" and "Voyage to Uranus" have stood the test of time. Stevens and a core group of cats, pianist/ guitarist Ralph Towner, John Abercrombie on guitar, James Earle Johnson on percussion, Stu Woods on bass and Michael Thabo Carvin on drums - turn in a set that musically, is a bit all over the place. The raw power on "Voyage To Uranus" was electric, beyond belief. So do not expect to hear something mellow, this is dark, sometimes scary music for those late nights. Still compelling after all these year, something like a blast from the past. A masterpiece and for the first time on CD., Runningtime: 00:00:00, Arranged By, Written-By: Clive Stevens, Congas, Timbales, Percussion: David Earle Johnson, Design Concept [Album Graphic Concept]: Chick Walsh, Drums: Michael Carvin, Electric Bass: Stu Woods, Electric Guitar, Acoustic Guitar: John Abercrombie, Electric Piano, Clavinet, Twelve-String Guitar [Acoustic 12 String]: Ralph Towner, Engineer: Shelly Yakus, Engineer [Assistant]: Richard Apuzzo, Management: Martin Stevens (5), Mastered By: Greg Calbi, Mastered By: Tom Rabstenek, Painting [Cover]: Alexandra Odell, Photography By: Frank Worth, Producer: Jimmy Ienner, Tenor Saxophone [Electric], Soprano Saxophone, Alto Flute, Effects [Echoplex, Wah Wah Pedal]: Clive Stevens, Labelcode MDIG3751.2 (ESC 3751-2), Phonographic Copyright (p) Capitol Records, Inc., Published By C.A.M.-U.S.A., Inc., Recorded At Record Plant, N.Y.C., Mastered At The Cutting Room, Remastered At Hazelwood Studios | | Anzahl der Titel: |
