A newly produced mini-documentary on the making of the album is included as a QuickTime file on each album. The third studio album by the English rock band the Beatles, released on 10 July 1964. A Hard Day's Night was included in the list of "100 Essential Rock Albums" compiled by musicologists Charlie Gillett and Simon Frith for ZigZag magazine in 1975, and is one of the "Treasure Island albums" featured in Greil Marcus's 1979 book Stranded. I recommend.

I was a bit skeptical of the mono reissue vinyl launch. The Beatles catalog was just re-released 5 years ago on CD and vinyl, and those reissues sounded nearly perfect. Why would they put them out again on vinyl other than to just cash in? Now, I can say: Buy this cd... 5 stars
