Eugene S. - 20.12.2023 The tenth studio album by British rock band Black Sabbath, released in 1981, following the success of Heaven and Hell. The disc took 29th place on the US Billboard 200 chart. I recommend.
| | Azmi H. - 30.05.2023 Dio's singing is overblown and operatic at times. I love it. Lyrics are so serious, something appealing to that part of my brain.
| | OLEG L. - 07.02.2023 Mob Rules was originally released in 1981. This edition is really Deluxe 2CD Edition, Remastered, high quality 4 panel Digipak with 16 pages booklet contains additional rare pictures. The CD1 has two bonus tracks, the CD2 is a great Live At The Hammersmith Odeon London.
The pleasure is my and my recomendations.
| | Yuriy P. - 17.02.2019 Despite the enviable obstinacy of some of the public who did not want to see anyone except Ozzie behind the microphone at Black Sabbath, the magnificent album "Heaven And Hell" commercially proved to be a very successful product. Another group world tour was also a success, during which, however, personnel problems arose with poor Bill Ward, which was affected by his passion for drugs. Bill was sent to a hospital bed, and the young, but promising brother of the famous Carmine Appice, Vinnie, sat behind the drums. In such a slightly updated composition, the group began to create its tenth studio studio, which was released in 1981, after receiving the name "Mob Rules". Well, the creative tandem Iomi Butler Dio didn’t prepare any surprises for sophisticated listeners. And is this a cause for grief? Definitely not! "Mob Rules" is slightly lightweight from the presence of super hits and one hundred percent quality, a copy of the order-bearing "Heaven And Hell". On the disc there is the same gloomy and very mystical mood, skillfully created by the maestro Dio trademark texts, and by no less than the brand riffs from the maestro Iommi. The quality of the recording is still close to the ideal, and the new drummer fits perfectly with the team, and together with Geizer Butler firmly holds the basis of all the compositions. And, fortunately, I just want to praise! The most revealing theme is undoubtedly the long and stunningly beautiful The Sign Of The Southern Cross saga in its “fabulousness”, its influence on such a style as doom metal is invaluable. In addition, it is absolutely necessary to recall such wonderful works as the hurricane opening fighter "Turn Up The Night", the powerful and simply sweeping away all the walls of the title track "The Mob Rules", and the uniquely mysterious and even slightly frightening thing "Voodoo". But the songs remaining on the second half of the album, although they hold a general high level, do not represent anything of a masterpiece (although the merry "Country Girl" is able to give the listener a lot of pleasant moments). So in the end, "Mob Rules" gets a well-deserved nine points from me. Unfortunately, the group will not release more similar albums.
| | Valeriy R. - 24.09.2018 A luxurious BMG/Sanctuary 2CD digipack edition of the second Black Sabbath album with Mr. Dio as vocalist. The 2nd CD is the set from Hammersmith Odeon gig. Maybe, Heaven & Hell is a little better but certainly Mob Rules is must have for all hard rock lovers.
| | Vagner C. - 15.07.2018 Deluxe editions for Black Sabbath comes with a bonus disc and a special package including a booklet with a lot of photos and notes. This bonus disc of Mob Rules is the Live on Hammmerso Odeon. Great!!!
| | Volodymyr Z. - 02.06.2018 Very good edition of one of my favorite album from BS! Bonus songs is very interesting!
| | Eduardo F. - 20.10.2017 Not so great as Heaven and Hell, but still a fine effort of Dio's era in Sabbath. This edition has a bonus disc with a fine live performance by the band.
