Yuriy P. - 17.11.2024 The opus of the Norwegians develops and improves the ideas and directions started on the previous album. Magnificent symphonic introductions, their combinations, throughout the composition, with heavy music and very good melody allow this album to take a worthy place in the metal world of music. Violin interludes in combination with vocal parts of a live voice and constant and very beautiful transitions, the fullness of which is revealed more and more each time, are perfectly combined and complement each other. However, against the background of hits and excellent action movies, some songs look rather weak. Some moves are not so melodic in them and their range of diversity is decorated only by masterfully performed solos. The work is saturated with all sorts of sound inserts that only decorate the compositions. Marches of soldiers, howls of sirens, chatter of machine guns, roar of airplanes and croaking of crows give the album its unique sound. The super-fast sound in combination with brass symphonic instruments looks very nice. The keyboard work also looks amazing, they shimmer very beautifully in some songs. The guys simply masterfully, in most songs, combined the melody of slow moves and the brightness of bowed instruments. There are moments in the songs that are decorated with a male double alto. Good and very melodic melodies in some songs continue, however, not always successful transitions. The album is slightly diluted with female vocals, and the last song
begins with an unexpected blues strumming. With all the positive assessments of this work, it slightly lacks refinement and giving the entire content melody. But although the album, in some places, contains frequently repeated moves and transitions that sound quite long, it still
deserved my positive assessments, and I think many will like it.
| | Azmi H. - 15.03.2023 Great album. Brutal jams. The orchestrations are amazing, the drums are insane, and the band overall has an extremely powerful sound about them on this album.
