There is truly nothing new on "A View from the Top of the World" but what is here is done with their usual toolbox of progressive metal flourishes and instrumental & vocal prowess. The album clocks in a length of 70:29 containing 7 songs with the shortest being "Transcending Time" (which is the highlight of the album for me as well as being a tremendous track in general) coming in at 6:25 while the epic title track which closes out the album clocking in at a mammoth 20:24.
