I always respected the work of this team, although there was a time when it did not give reasons for this. The previous album was received by me with great enthusiasm due to the presence of the most refined ideas of the group and the almost complete absence of passing things. Therefore, it is not surprising that I described the album with considerable interest. True, the team’s tendency to release a passage album after a relatively successful one was alarming. This longplay is the result of the transformation of the traditional “Flotsams” mournfulness into a kind of atmospheric atmosphere, which just lies in the middle of the mostly smooth flow of the main composition line. The name of the album leads to a certain concept, which contradicts, however, rather “warm” melodies characteristic of the lyrical world of the group. In general, the late work of the team can be compared, albeit abstractly, with the work of their compatriots from Nevermore. Our wards, however, are heavily influenced by reworked alternative phrases, which you can’t blame for Nevermore musicians who prefer a good progressive groove. Anyway, you need to pay tribute to the “Flotsam” in terms of creating exclusively their vision of style and unwillingness to stand still. The album is intended for people who do not expect much from the team, but tend to positively evaluate creative searches (envy young people at this age, and searches!) Of the team. For me, this release has become a very personal and internal creation, which cannot be perceived unambiguously.
