Digitally re-mastered edition of this Gong-related release. Recorded in 1989, this was the first new Gong-named band after a 10 year gap. With original Gong band members Daevid Allen and Didier Malherbe plus Mother Gong's Harry Williamson, it's a gently danced-up re-introduction to the Planet Gong, Flying Teapots and celebratory pixies within. No other band has such immediate word association with 'hippies' as Gong, the Psychedelic vision of Australian beatnik Daevid Allen. Gong emerged in the full flood of Psychedelia, appearing on stage in 'pothead pixie' hats, and committing to vinyl a Space-Jazz soundtrack for getting stoned to - a notion that informed many of their songs, along with a breezy eroticism and sub-Tolkien allegory.
