"Bee Thousand" ist ein Meilenstein-Album der amerikanischen Indie-Rock-Band Guided By Voices und erschien 1994 im Format Vinyl Maxi beim Label Scat Records. Das Album gilt als eines der wichtigsten Werke des Lo-Fi- und Indie-Rock-Genres und wird für seine rohe Produktion sowie die originellen Songideen geschätzt ? eine Sammlung kurzer Songs voller Energie und Kreativität wie ?I Am a Scientist?, ?Gold Star for Robot Boy? oder ?Echos Myron?. Die Band wurde Anfang der 1980er Jahre von Robert Pollard gegründet und prägte mit ihrem unverwechselbaren Mix aus britisch inspirierten Melodien und Do-it-yourself-Ethos maßgeblich die US-amerikanische Underground-Szene.
