For this recording, the renowned early music expert Marc Lewon and his Ensemble Leones have put together a program that does justice to Oswald von Wolkenstein's importance as a poet and musician, presenting not only rarely heard pieces but also a number of first recordings: from multilingual, 'Macaronian' songs to travel descriptions and true jewels of sound. The high-profiled Ensemble of Early Music specialists founded by director Marc Lewon in 2008, Ensemble Leones, is dedicated to presenting Medieval and Renaissance music.
