Eugene S. - 24.09.2024 The sixth studio album by American heavy metal band Megadeth, released on November 1, 1994. Youthanasia received positive reviews upon its release. It was commercially successful, peaking at number 4 on the Billboard 200 chart, and in 1995 was certified platinum for shipping one million copies in the United States.

| | Yuriy P. - 21.12.2020 In the musical career of any group there are certain ups and downs, just as in every sea or ocean, from time to time there are ebb and flow. In the 90s, Megadeth were, as they say, on a horse, and were just at the peak of their popularity and success, on the crest of the creative wave, so to speak, recording just wonderful records one after another. The album "Youthanasia", as it seems to me, turned out to be one of the highest points of the band's rise and one of the most significant works in the entire solid discography of the group.
The musicians came up with a sound that is a perfectly balanced fusion of genres, resulting in an original, incomparable sound that combines the features of both melodic heavy metal and downhole thrash, creating a wonderful harmony between them. The composing work of the team is at its best: interesting arrangements, beautiful melodies, powerful riffs. No wonder the album contains many well-known hits, such as, for example, "Reckoning Day", "Train Of Consequences" and, of course, the magnificent ballad "A Tout Le Monde". These songs have long been tested by time and have become the standard of the band's sound. In addition, one can highlight the wonderful compositions "Addicted To Chaos", "Blood Of Heroes", "Family Tree" and "I Thought I Knew It All", although, frankly, there are no weak things on the album, so the rest of the songs also definitely deserve attention. The musicians' play, as always, is very professional and well-coordinated, you cannot find fault with it. Even Mustaine's vocals, no matter how scolded by ill-wishers, seems to be absolutely irreplaceable here and perfectly harmonizes with the musical component. The lyrics of the album have become more philosophical and touches on a fairly wide range of topics: both related to military conflicts and personal experiences - the last minutes of human life, retribution for sins and the like.
Masterpiece. One of the best Megadeth creations of the band's long career.
| | Volodymyr Z. - 16.09.2020 Super! This is one of greatest trash album in history!
| | Bojan I. - 31.08.2020 Last of five classic Megadeth albums, Must have :)
| | Vladislav M. - 20.05.2020 A very good release, already quite mature by that time, the Megadeth formation.
There is some restraint in the music, apparently, D.M. wanted to make the album serious. They have albums and more interesting ...
| | HYUNG RAE K. - 21.11.2018 This album's cover is very fear. Marty friedman's guitar is also good. but this is his last album in megadeth.
and Rekoning day is best song.
