One of the hardest-hitting soul albums I've heard in this decade. Instead of sticking to conventional stylings of the genre, Mourning [A] BLKstar take risks when it comes to this album's production, which takes cues from modern hip hop, to elevate what could have been a solid soul record to a straight-up great album in its own right
