Tragic Idol

Tragic Idol is not among my top favourite Paradise Lost, but is a very good record, with several good moments and a more gothic metal album in their discography.

Just a good album from one of the iconic English bands. I would say that this is a classic manifestation of the group, not a single song from here is impossible to confuse with anyone. 100% Paradise Lost!

I approach to this album after more than one year. It passed the trial of time in a great way. I was surprised in listening to it some days ago after months I was no more taking care of this band. After the "débâcle" of their "pop" era, they have not made a wrong album. PErhaps some past releases were not masterpieces, but considering how many time they're playing music, we can still be genuinely surprised by Holmes and his bandmates. Tragic Idol is a strong compact album with catchy songs which belong to a simple approach to music you won't be tired of after few time. In this we dwell, theories from another world or fear from impending hell are pure example of how its still alive their inspirations and how is still good their guitar work. A way to define this album? "Confindent silent and loyal companion, able to explode in your ears also after many time with great pleasure"
