Olga Peretyatko/ Sinfonieorchester Basel/ Ivor Bolton |
 | Beschreibung: | The Sinfonieorchester Basel is one of the oldest and most innovative orchestras in Switzerland. Ivor Bolton and the orchestra present an interesting selection of orchestral songs and suites by the French composer Gabriel Fauré and team with soprano Olga Peretyatko, tenor Benjamin Bruns and the Balthasar Neumann Women's Choir for this recording. The incidental music for "Caligula" was composed by Fauré for the eponymous drama by Alexandre Dumas. The second piece on this album is the "Prélude" from Faurés opera "Pénélope". Olga Peretyatko is the soprano in a selection of songs, which had been originally composed for piano and for the more intimate character of the French salons, before Fauré wrote the beautiful orchestral accompaniments. The music from "Shylock" is an concert version after the incidental music to Edmond Haraucourts comedy after Shakespeare and the recording finishes with the famous "Pelléas et Mélisande" op 80., Artwork: Demus Design, Composed By: Gabriel Fauré, Conductor: Ivor Bolton, Engineer [Sound Engineer]: Jakob Händel, Executive-Producer: Frieda Müller, Executive-Producer: Hans Georg Hofmann, Liner Notes [French]: Nicolas Southon, Liner Notes [Translation Songs (English)]: Stewart Spencer, Liner Notes [Translation Songs (German)]: Reinhard Lüthje, Liner Notes [Translation]: Susannah Howe, Liner Notes [Übersetzung]: Reinhard Lüthje, Orchestra: Sinfonieorchester Basel, Painting [Cover Painting]: Eugène Boudin, Photography By [Balthasar-Neumann-Chor]: Florence Grandidier, Photography By [Benjamin Bruns]: Sara Schoengen, Photography By [Photo Peretyatko]: Ali Khan Photography, Photography By [Sinfonieorchester Basel & Ivor Bolton]: Matthias Willi, Producer [Recording Producer], Edited By [Editing]: Andreas Werner (4), Choir: Balthasar-Neumann-Chor, Chorus Master: Denis Rouger, Orchestrated By: Gabriel Fauré, Soprano Vocals: Olga Peretyatko, Orchestrated By: Louis Aubert, Soprano Vocals: Olga Peretyatko, Orchestrated By: Gabriel Fauré, Soprano Vocals: Olga Peretyatko, Orchestrated By: Henri Büsser, Soprano Vocals: Olga Peretyatko, Tenor Vocals: Benjamin Bruns (2), Labelcode SOIP8185828.2 (19075818582), Phonographic Copyright (p) Sony Music Entertainment Germany GmbH, Copyright (c) Sony Music Entertainment Germany GmbH, Copyright (c) Matthias Willi, Copyright (c) Sara Schoengen, Copyright (c) Florence Grandidier, Copyright (c) Ali Khan Photography, Recorded At Goetheanum Dornach, Glass Mastered At Sony DADC, Distributed By Sony Music Entertainment | | Anzahl der Titel: |
