Blood of the Saints is among the best albums in the prolific discography of Powerwolf! Great songs here, in the epic power metal style, as Ira Sancti, We Drink your Blood, Murder at Midnight, and others!!!

After the extremely successful "Lupus Dei" and "Bible of the Beast", the wolves of the German heavy power continue to delight the listener and chop the reckless metal of the highest grade. On the new record "Blood of the Saints" they are still faithful to their style: church choir, organ, rolling, seasoned hoarse, Attila Dorn's vocals and, of course, extremely provocative lyrics. However, the appearance of the song "Catholic in the morning ... Satanist at night" on the previous opus "Volkov" could not but cause outrage among supporters of some worldviews ... However, as the Powerwolf fans themselves say, "even if these guys start singing about flying condoms, they will still do it cool. " It would seem: how much can you write about wolkos, vampires, the church and pentagrams, flavoring all this with texts in Latin and an obligatory "hallelujah" at the end of each chorus, in such an unpromising genre as power metal? Yes, as many as you want! The enthusiasm, power, rage, and obligatory banter - this is the recipe that “Wolves” use the fourth album in a row in almost every song of theirs! Plus, the Germans are able to come up with surprisingly well-remembered melodies. Already after the first listening of "Blood of the Saints", somewhere in the depths of the cerebral cortex, the choruses of the songs "Sanctified with Dynamite", "We Drink Your Blood" and "All We Need is Blood" are firmly seated. As in the past works of Powerwolf, on this album you will not find slow, ballad compositions or many-minute epics; there are no high-tech instrumental delights here either: wolf metal as it is - quite heavy and rough, without a symphonic symphony. Personally, it seems to me that amid the long obsolete and at the moment basically only smelly rotting, metal power, such groups as Powerwolf, Wuthering Heights and Sabaton are completely entitled to be called the brightest representatives of the modern, decent looking current in metal that exists at the junction of genres and thanks to this, giving a new breath to almost the deceased power.

Meiner Meinung nach der endgültige Durchbruch für Powerwolf mit diesem Album, auch wenn erst mit einem späteren Album der Platz 1 in den Charts erreicht wurde :-) Die Mixtur aus schnellen Songs und bombastischen Parts wurde hier perfektioniert.

très bon album de power metal, avec attila chanteur charismatique avec une voix grave mais des textes plus léger. bon du début a la fin.
