|  | deejays - 11/Nov/2003 Wahre Hits gab es bereits von dem britischen Duo Everything But The Girl, als sie auf ihrem unaufhaltsamen Wege zwischen Indie und Triphopscher Elektronik wandelten. Mit ihrem neuen Album starten sie gleich wahrhaft temperamentvoll durch und housen sehr gerade trotz Tracey Thorns unverkennbarer Stimme. Auf den ersten Blick kann man den Eindruck nicht abschütteln, daß die beiden es sich mit dieser wesentlich cluborientierteren Fassung ihres Sounds mit ihren Fans verscherzen. So ganz bewahrheitet sich diese Vorahnung nach mehrmaligem Hören jedoch nicht. Man darf sich nicht an dem melancholisch-herbstlichen Gesang stören, der den Beats, die sich an erprobte Muster halten, einen eigenen Charakter verleiht. Dann kann das Album auch das seinige dazu beitragen, den Herbst sehr britisch zu gestalten.
