LTM are pleased to mark the 25th anniversary (!) of the debut album by Minny Pops the cult Dutch electro pioneers who released four albums & a string of singles on Factory & Plurex between 1979 & 1985. Drastic Measures Drastic Movement first appeared on Dutch label Plurex in September 1979. An uncompromising genre classic the 13 track set mixes hard-edged electronica with modernist noise & shares much in common with contemporaries Cabaret Voltaire the Normal Suicide & early Hu.

The [r=786146] album was recorded at Ballad Studio, August 1979. It was originally released on Plurex Records (Plurex 900) September 1979. The [m=795857] EP (track 14 to 16) was originally released as 7" on Plurex Records (Plurex 005) March 1979. Track 17 was originally released on the [r=260668] compilation, Boudisque Records (BOU 11), October 2003. Distant Feelings filmed at the Dutch Filmacademie, Amsterdam, November 1979 For professionals only: A hidden track containing a K-14 System reference is provided, if you start the playback of track 1 and then rewind back into negative time. It is a - 14 dBFS RMS pink noise signal that can be used to adjust your playback level. Set to slow C weighing, and adjust your playback level so that your noise meter indicates 83dB Spl per channel or 86dB Spl when played on the two channels simultaneously.
