This version of Omnibus comes as a 2xCD. - This was Colin Meloy's college alternative-countryish band, which put out a full-length and an EP before they disbanded and Meloy segued into the Decemberists.Tracks 1-1 to 1-12 were originally released as 'I Guess I Was Hoping For Something More' on Barcelona Records in the spring of 1998. Limited to 1000 copies.
Tracks 2-1 to 2-6 were originally self-released as 'Sea Songs For Landlocked Sailors' in the summer of 1999. Limited to 200 copies.
Tracks 2-7 to 2-9 were originally part of a 5 track demo recorded in the spring of 1997. Limited to 500 copies.
Track 2-10 is previously unreleased.
Tracks 2-11 to 2-14 were originally released as part of [url=/release/5939387]Live on KGBA[/url] in the fall of 2002. Limited to 200 copies.
Tracks 1-1 to 1-13 & 2-2 recorded at John and Stu's in Seattle, WA, March 16-25, 1998.
Tracks 2-1, 2-3 to 2-6 recorded at Bass Creek, south of Missoula, MT in the Bitterroot Range.
Tracks 2-7 to 2-9 recorded in Sasha Perrin's basement on Cooley Street, Missoula, MT, in the spring of 1997.
Track 2-10 recorded at Gibson's house in Missoula, MT, on a TEAC 4 track reel-to-reel.
Tracks 2-11 to 2-14 recorded live on air at the University of Montana for KBGA in the spring of 1998.
