THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS 2-disc special edition soundtrack features the original soundtrack plus an additional disc that includes re-recordings of the movies' songs by artists like Marilyn Manson, She Wants Revenge, Panic at the Disco, Fiona Apple and more. Also included on disc 2 are four unreleased demos by composer Danny Elfman.

This is a re-issue of the soundtrack, to celebrate the 2006 theatrical re-release of the film in 3-D. It features a bonus disc of artists covering the original Danny Elfman songs, as well as some demo versions of Elfman's original score pieces. The album cover is also 3-D. There is an alternate version available, exclusive to Best Buy stores. It features 2 extra Elfman demos on disc 2; "Town Meeting Song" and "What's This?"
