A perfect blend of Soul & Garage. Based on their Southern roots, the brothers brought a raw authenticity to their recordings and live performances. The Chambers Brothers are best known for their 1968 hit record, the 11-minute long epic 'Time Has Come Today'. -

Issued in standard jewel case with clear plastic tray and a back insert with graphics on both sides. Has short essay by Peter Knobler in liner notes with a few archival photographs of the group. Originally issued as [m=176251], Columbia CS 9522 in November1967. Tracks 11 to 14 are bonus tracks in mono from 7" single releases. Tracks 14 & 11 (A&B-sides respectively) originally released on [m=602768], Columbia 4-43816,1966. Tracks 1 & 12 were originally released on [m=635500], Columbia 4-43957,1966 Tracks 7 & 13 were released on [m=501672], Columbia 4-44296,1967. Booklet incorrectly states Track 13 is from 4-43957. Track 2 was released on [m=300382], Columbia 4-44414,1967. (The A-side is Single Version 2 of "Time Has Come Today") Tracks 3 & 8 were originally released on [m=416712], Columbia 4-44080, 1967.
