The songs are consistently good, it achieves some of Motorheads fastest and heaviest moments ("On Your Feet...", "Burner") and also some of their most melodic and beautiful moments ("Lost in the Ozone", "Don't Let Daddy...", "Devils").

This is the best album Motörhead ever made. It's not merely music, it's an experience. Even Lemmy himself agreed it was one of the band's finest achievements.

I believe that this album is the most ambiguous in the group’s discography, and I have often seen in stores when the seller offered the buyer this particular disc, indicating its interest, but the latter refused in favor of another disc with more typical and familiar material. I believe that at “Bastards” Lemmy Kelmister reached the pinnacle of his work, he had never before composed so clearly atmospheric and depressing music, as well as lyrics (just the top of gloom such songs as “Lost In The Ozone” (I’ve never I’ll forget, since a more funeral text could hardly be found in other creations of motors)
