Description:	Im Mai 1747 kommen der König der Musik und der König von Preußen für eine Woche zusammen. Zwei Welten prallen aufeinander, und Ehrfurcht und Neid, Hoffnung und Enttäuschung entzünden ein Feuerwerk sprühender Kontrapunkte. Als Bach einen seiner Söhne in Potsdam besucht, wird er zum königlichen Hof zitiert, wo er den hochintelligenten und talentierten jungen Monarchen kennen lernt. Friedrich weiß die Genialität anderer zu schätzen, verabscheut es jedoch, von ihnen in den Schatten gestellt zu werden. Sein getreuer Hofkomponist Quantz hat diese Beschränkung akzeptiert, nicht jedoch Amalia, die lebhafte und musisch begabte Schwester des Königs, die sich nach Freiheit sehnt - und leidenschaftlich für Bachs eigensinnigen ältesten Sohn schwärmt. Im Laufe von Bachs Besuch werden Konventionen über Bord geworfen und ein von Emotionen geprägter Kampf der Egos entbrennt, begleitet von den schroffen Harmonien und gefühlvollen Dissonanzen einer inneren Musik. - Trailer
