The gay scene dominated group was world famous for it's appearance costumes and of course for their catchy lyrics and sounds-making the good arrived in the heterosexual scene and come. In the meantime, they have more than 65 million records sold such. As San Francisco, Macho Man, YMCA, In The Navy, Go West, etc. And thus are undoubtedly one of the phenomena of the music industry. Moreover celebrated "The Village People" global successes such. As "American Music Awards" Best Group (1979), "AGVA'S Georgie Awards", Germany's "Golden Lion" for best music and "Brazil's Award" for the best Act (1981)
