Description:Metal On Metal by Anvil, released 30 June 1990, includes the following tracks: "Stop Me", "Jackhammer", "Tag Team", "Tease Me Please Me" and more. This version of Metal On Metal comes as a 1xCD. -
Import-only pressing of the 1982 sophomore album from the Canadian Speed Metal pioneers. Metal on Metal is often considered the missing link between the New Wave of British Heavy Metal of the late '70s and the West Coast Thrash Metal of the early to mid '80s. Since Anvil were from Toronto, a city not known for a booming Metal scene, Anvil unfortunately got lost in the shuffle while the bands they inspired achieved far more success. Still, Metal on Metal delivers a powerful punch decades after it's original release. 10 tracks. Unidisc.
Similar to [r=16431033], but the Matrix pattern is different; the inner ring on the face of the CD is not slightly transparent. Packed: jewel case with transparent tray under a Slipcase (O-Card). Comes with booklet folded in 2 parts (4 pages).
"Metal On Metal" is the iconic 1982 album by Canadian heavy metal band Anvil, released in CD format by Attic Records. This record is a cornerstone of early speed and thrash metal, featuring powerful riffs, energetic drumming, and raw vocals that have inspired countless bands in the genre. Standout tracks like "Metal on Metal," "Mothra," and "666" showcase Anvil's signature sound?fast-paced, melodic yet aggressive. The album has been widely recognized for its influence on later giants such as Metallica and Slayer. Anvil was formed in Toronto in 1978 by Steve "Lips" Kudlow (vocals/guitar) and Robb Reiner (drums). Despite limited commercial success during their early years, Anvil gained cult status among metal fans worldwide thanks to their relentless touring and passionate performances. Their story was famously chronicled in the acclaimed documentary "Anvil! The Story of Anvil." Over four decades into their career, they remain respected pioneers within heavy metal. Attic Records is a renowned Canadian label known for supporting innovative rock and metal acts throughout the late 20th century. With a reputation for discovering unique talent from Canada?s vibrant music scene, Attic played an essential role in bringing influential artists like Anvil to international attention.

The second studio album by Canadian heavy metal band Anvil, released in 1982. In 2022, Metal on Metal was named #25 of 'The 25 greatest rock guitar albums of 1982' list in Guitar World. I recommend.
