The first two tracks are 1985's lone singles by The Shallows, Montgomery's second band. They were recorded at Tandem Studios, Christchurch, NZ in 1985. Tracks 3 to 8 were recorded during July 1994 at Lowdown Studios, San Francisco, CA.
