 | Description: | Having released two albums in a nine month period between October 1981 and July 1982, â??Three of a Perfect Pairâ? is the final part of the recorded trilogy begun with â??Disciplineâ? and â??Beatâ?. Originally released in April 1984, from the pointillist minimalism of the title track through to the urgent rush of â??Sleeplessâ?? and the albumâ??s closer â??Larksâ?? Tongues in Aspic IIIâ?? - the only reference to the 1970s incarnations of the band â?? Crimsonâ??s distinctive mixture of rock, electronica, funk and pure pop songs, ensured the groupâ??s status as one of the most interesting and innovative bands of the decade. - Note at bottom of page 10 in booklet: The phonographic copyright in these performances is operated by Discipline Global Mobile on behalf of the artists, with whom it resides, contrary to common practice in the record industry. Discipline accepts no reason for artists to assign the copyright interests in their work to either record company or management by virtue of a "common practice" which was always questionable, often improper, and is now indefensible. 24 bit remaster at Sanctuary Mastering, January 9-12, 2001. ? &© 2004 Robert Fripp.
