This version of Legacy Of Hospitality comes as a 1xCD+1xDVD. - .. HOSPITALITY - RECORDINGS FROM 1999-09Limited two disc (CD + NTSC/Region 0 DVD) set. Part-companion to last year's Dan Sartain Lives, part document of Dan's recording career to date, Legacy of Hospitality is Dan's very own Basement Tapes containing alternate versions, outtakes and unheard tracks of arcane provenance, pre-dating Dan's earliest self produced and self released albums. Exhumed for your listening pleasure are songs lost and/ or forgotten. Accompanying the album is the Dan Sartain: Lives DVD documentary; a glimpse into the mad, bad world of Dan Sartain as he does battle with the Serpientes - pieced together by the man himself in glorious lo-fi-o-vision, complete with commentary from Dan and sometime video-maker and friend Matt Whiston. One Little Indian.CD/DVD double pack: Legacy Of Hospitality (CD) and Dan Sartain Lives: The Motion Picture (DVD). Includes 3-D glasses.

Tracks 1 to 3, 6, and 21 are from Sartain's self-produced follow up to [m=159637], a 9-song effort that was intended to be called Dan Sartain & The Atheist - 'Crimson Cinema Of Death'. He submitted the recordings to [l=One Little Indian], who turned them down and encouraged him to work with producer [a=Liam Watson], resulting in the album [m=701613]. Tracks 1, 2, and 21 recorded at Eastlake Recording Service (Sartain's house in Alabama). Track 2 originally performed by [a=Chris Isaak]. Tracks 3 and 6 recorded at Old Capitol Recording in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Track 5 recorded at Henry Dunkel's Basement. Originally performed by [a=Samhain].
Track 7 recorded at Money Shot Studio in Water Valley, Mississippi. From [r=2036383].
