AKA AKA who called international attention on their project through their debut single on Stil vor Talent with the club-hit Woody Woodpecker have had a busy release- and show schedule ever since. In Autumn 2009 their second single ?Zwei Himmelhunde auf dem Weg zur H lle was released, for which the two organized a remix contest. Over 1000 young producers followed the call and participated. Shortly after Woody Woodpecker was elected by Beatport Music Award 2010 as the 3rd best track in the category Minimal, their third release on SvT Ich&Du, a collaboration with Umami, was released. A music video for Ich&Du was produced in an old shut down public bath. In the meantime having become respected remixers (e.g. for Oliver Koletzki, Alex Young, Nicon and many more), AKA AKA founded their own vinyl label Burlesque Musique, which focuses on Balkan and swing influenced electronic music and already counts it's 6th release. Producing their debut album with Thalstroem was a logical progression.
