Avec des titres marquants comme « Subdivisions », « The Analog Kid » ou « New World Man », l?album explore des thèmes tels que la technologie croissante dans nos vies modernes ou le sentiment d?aliénation sociale face au changement sociétal rapide ; il fut salué par la critique et connut un grand succès commercial qui renforça encore le statut novateur de Rush sur la scène internationale du rock.

Subdivisions is the opening track, and one of the most complex and greatest Rush songs - alone, it deserves to buy this album. But here all songs are very good to say the minimum. Great album!!

Subdivisions is a very strong opening song and is still on concert playlist. Signals is good, standard albom of Rush and I like it. I recommned it.

However, at the time it was actually released I was not very impressed, I mean where was the huge guitar wall of sound ,the side long epics like Hemispheres, now that is an absolute classic record if a little hard to get into at first listen?
