"Alas I Cannot Swim" es el álbum debut de estudio de la cantautora británica Laura Marling y fue lanzado en formato CD por el sello Virgin en 2008. Este disco destaca por sus letras poéticas y su madurez compositiva pese a ser una artista joven al momento del lanzamiento; fusiona elementos del folk con sonidos acústicos contemporáneos para explorar temas como el amor y el autodescubrimiento con gran sensibilidad artística e interpretativa gracias a su distintiva voz y habilidad con la guitarra acústica.
