A newly-discovered hi-fi concert recording of Louis with Trummy Young, Barney Bigard, Arvell Shaw, Velma Middleton and other stalwarts live at UNC's Memorial Hall on May 8, 1954! Also here are 1956 Newport Jazz Festival recordings (their first commercial release), 1954 performances with Sidney Bechet and James P. Johnson and a soundtrack excerpt from the seldom-seen 1937 film Artists and Models. A rare Satchmo treasure trove!
