Ian Anderson's mesmerizing voice, impulsive arrangements and virtuoso performance! Great album! Great addition to my music collection! Eugene.

The album "Songs from the Wood" is among the top five of my favorite albums in the discography of the group. You can even say that this is the most comfortable album of the group. There is not a single extra song, everything is put in its place, from beautiful ballads to funny and positive melodies, and the mood in the songs changes quite unexpectedly, but this is as always in the style of the group. Mostly rock-rock prevails on the album, even folk songs are used in the theme of songs. Anderson's vocals are successfully combined with music, and as always, excellent flute parts (after all, he is the best flutist in rock music). More than 30 years have passed since the release of the album, but it is still relevant and listening to it is a pleasure.
