Description:John Mayall stammte aus Macclesfield, Cheshire, und wuchs in Cheadle Hulme auf. Er hatte sich bereits einen Namen in der Bluesszene von Manchester gemacht, bevor er 1963 auf Drängen von Alexis Korner nach London zog. John McVie verlie� als nächster die Bluesbreakers und schloss sich Peter Green und Mick Fleetwood bei ihrem neuen Projekt Fleetwood Mac an. Neben dem Schlagzeuger Jon Hiseman von der Graham Bond Organisation und dem Bassisten Tony Reeves stie� der Redakteur Dick Heckstall Smith dazu. Das daraus resultierende Album Bare Wires war Mayalls erfolgreichstes Album und erreichte Platz 3 in den britischen Charts. Wenn man sagen kann, dass Blues Breakers With Eric Clapton den Grundstein für den britischen Blues-Rock gelegt hat, dann hat Bare Wires �hnliches für den Jazz-Rock geleistet. Mick Taylors Spiel auf dem Album ist schlichtweg gro�artig. Diese Wiederveröffentlichung ist eine getreue Nachbildung der Original-Stereo-Veröffentlichung von Decca Records aus dem Jahr 1968 mit Gatefold-Hülle und wurde auf hochwertiges 180g-Vinyl gepresst. - INCL. 6 BONUS TRACKS
John Mayall's Bluesbreakers classic album from 1968 has been digitally remastered and now boasts an extra six bonus tracks including the a & B sides of the single 'Picture on the Wall' and the songs 'Knocker's Step Forward' and 'Hide and Seek' only previously available on the Decca compilation, Thru the Years. Also included are two songs, 'Look at the Girl' and 'Start Walkin' recorded live at Brighton's Falmer College in May 1968. Decca. 2007.
