It was the band's third album, Master of Reality, that cemented the group as blackened wizards of doom and gloom.

A true classic, like "Paranoid" and "Vol 4", which influenced thousands of heavy (doom, stoner) bands until today. "Sweet Leaf" with his mammoth second riff, the cavalcade of "Children of the Grave", or the heavy "Into the Void" are only a few examples of the great musicianship at work.

Always hard to talk about the best Black Sabbath album, given the prolific career with great albums, especially in the Ozzy and Dio eras. Master of Reality is one of most complete Sabbath albums, given the myriad of songs which goes from the beatiful acoustic Orchid, the introspective Solitude, the doom of Lord of this World, to the heavy metal of Children of the Grave. What an album!
