Description:X15092 Superdeluxe boxset: The band has been "retiring" for 3 years, but they are using that time to celebrate all 40th birthdays of their albums. This year it will be the album Hemispheres from 1978. The original album contained only 4 tracks: The A-side filling Cygnus X-1 and on the B-side Circumstances, The Trees and the classic La Villa Strangiato. The bonus material on this 40th Anniversary the band was partly recorded in The Netherlands. During the tour for Hemispheres the band played at Pinkpop festival in 1979, and the well-preserved recordings of that show can be found in their entirety on CD2, supplemented with a 20- minute live version of 2112, recorded in 1978 in Arizona. For the Rush fans worldwide a nice document, for the Dutch fans it's extra special because it as the only time that Rush could be seen and heard at Pinkpop, and these recordings have not been released until now. The album is beautifully designed with new artwork in the same style of the original album, with a nice booklet with new liner notes and photos. The superdeluxe boxset also includes a replica tour program, replica tickets and a Pinkpop VIP pass and also a BluRay. The sixth studio album by Canadian rock band Rush, released in October 1978. Hemispheres received acclaim from music critics. It reached number 14 in Canada and the UK, and number 41 in the United States.

Rush Hemispheres is one of the most important albums in the band discography. Circumstances, La Villa Strangiatto and The Trees are some great songs in the album.

My favorite album from one of my favorite bands. Maybe one of the greatest prog rock albums ever made; the titular track is a lengthy majestic fever dream of a world of imagination, a true cosmic origin story detailing the tribulations of man and his triumph through divine assistance. Truly magnificent.
