Description:Saxes Inc. by Coleman Hawkins, released 15 April 2011, includes the following tracks: "The Gipsy", "Four Brothers", "Tickle-Toe", "Jumpin' With Symphony Sid" and more. This version of Saxes Inc. comes as a 1xCD. -
This was not the only multi-player experiment from those years on a single instrument, and it even had a companion volume, THE TROMBONES INC., which combined the talents of some of the best reed trombonists of the fifties, including Jimmy Cleveland, Frank Rosolino and Bob Brookmeyer, playing arrangements of none other than Jay Jay Johnson and Marty Paich. As a bonus to SAXES INC., we present another trombone album with a very similar approach to THE TROMBONES INC., which also includes several important trombone players (two of them, Jimmy Cleveland and Eddie Bert, appear on both albums).
