The fifth album by English rock band Deep Purple, released in 1971. Fireball hit #1 on the UK Albums Chart. Super album, Ian Gillan's favorite album. I recommend.

The second Deep Purple MARK 2 album... very strange album .... a little bit psychedelic - but time has shown: GREAT GREAT album... Highly recommended

A great album, and much better than "Machine Head", which, contrary to popular belief, seems boring to me. The best things are "Fools", a very strong composition, as well as "The Mule", where I like the oriental motif and great text. The main advantage of the album is its integrity, there are no passing and boring moments on it, and Blackmore's solo became more interesting. I don’t agree that this album is stronger than the Led Zeppelin album of the same year, it will be brighter with “The Airship” (or does it seem to me because I like the blues?), The same work by Black Sabbath “Master of Reality” wins textual power and a special, doomic atmosphere. But in general, the best Deep Purple album after "In Rock".

In "Fireball," Ian Pace's delicate and tight drums, which are treated as the best technicians of rock drums, stand out. The title song, Fireball, is a hard rock number reminiscent of a cool and exciting rocket with the concept of space exploration, which became popular at the time. The most popular song on the list is the Strange Kind of Woman, which was released as the first single. Deep Purple is a song that is recommended for beginners to those who are loud and burdened. The voice of Ian Gillon is quite temperamental, and the guitar of Rich Blackmore flows smoothly without hurting his ears. It is a good song even if it is a pop song played by Deep Purple.

Fireball does not present the sharp vision of In Rock or the sheer perfection of Machine Head, but it's still Deep Purple MKII at its best.

Fully remastered 25th Anniversary Edition contains all seven original tracks plus nine bonus tracks: single versions, outtakes, remixes and one previously unreleased (Slow Train). Sixteen tracks total. The remastering on this album is excellent. Perfect album if you want to become Deep Purple fan!
