düsteres Erstlingswerk nach dem Tod von Ian Curtis. Als neuformierte New Order standen Sumner und Co. noch gewaltig unter dem Joy Division Einfluss. Poppige Ohrwürmer wie True Faith oder Blue Monday gibt es hier noch nicht zu hören. Wie schon zu Joy Division Zeiten haben auch New Order dies Singles zum Album nicht auf das Album gepackt sondern ausschließlich als Singles veröffentlicht. Wer also die bekannten Singles will muss sich "Substance" von New Order kaufen, oder die Delxue Edition zu Movement.
