From booklet:
The legend of the princess (ancient Chinese):
"Only occasionally does the princess of the moon descend to earth.
She is an image of flawless beauty to all who behold her.
All wanted to lay claim to her beauty.
Rulers of nations waged ruthless bloody wars against each other in hopes of winning her favors.
The princess could not abide by the imperfections of this world
and the selfish actions of it's people, and returned from whence she came.
That princess is Shakti. Shakti is the female deity and an aspect of active energy.
It is she who is the energy that provides us with inspiration and strength for positive action.
This energy is vital to us. It is what empowers us to transform ourselves and make our world a better place.
Sadly, many people blindly destroy gifts given from above.
Selfishness and ignorance waste this energy in the form of greed, lust, aggression and idle amusement.
All of these things defile the Shakti and she just goes away: leaving us alone in ignorance."
