Nabatov's quintet is made up of stellar members of the New York Downtown scene, including violinist Mark Feldman, trumpeter Herb Robertson, bassist Mark Hellas & drummer Tom Rainey. The book provided Simon with moods, feelings & emotions ranging from swing to cool jazz textures bridged by improvisation.
