This British Modern Jazz Tempo session from 1956 was specially recorded at the Railway Arms public house next to Decca's West Hampstead studios to recreate the atmosphere at London's famous Flamingo Club, then known all over the world as Britain's leading modernist club. It was regarded as a must for every visiting musician or fan from overseas. Lead by drummer Tony Crombie, the group features tenor saxophonists Tubby Hayes & Ronnie Scott.
