This 2 CD set includes 50 tracks featured on the first 50 shows of the first season of the show. Among the artists featured are Billie Holiday, George Jones, Aretha Franklin, the Clash and the White Stripes. The sleeve notes include a track-by-track commentary by some of the worlds great music writers including Barney Hoskyns, Colin Escott, Billy Vera and Fred Dellar.Issued in a double jewel case which is on its turn housed in a carton box set.
The box set includes also a 48-page booklet with information of all the tracks appearing on this release.
