This is my favorite British band album which was released in 1989. I used to have it on vinyl. There are several tracks added to the CD version, which is very nice. The musical style here is from pop-rock to post-punk, new wave and still not understand what. Robert Smith's voice fits in very well here. On the remastered edition, the volume was slightly increased and the treble was raised. In general, the sound is acceptable.

If you like The Cure and want a solid addition to your collection of their music, I highly recommend this version of their hit album Disintegration.

Reissue of original 1989 album. Comes in standard jewel case box with multipages booklet. Good sound quality. Recommended.

In 1989, Robert Smith, vocalist, guitarist, and main inspirer of The Cure, finally got tired of writing silly love songs in the spirit of Kiss me, kiss me, kiss me. After unrestrained fun, which suddenly engulfed the group in the period 83-88, immediately after the recording of the unbearably pressing psyche of the album “Pornography”, a depressed mood suddenly descended on him again. From the very first seconds, the listener's world turns into cold blue and dark gray colors. The album is definitely not positive or fun. But with “Pornography” (82) he has little in common. If there reigned an atmosphere of hysterical despair, hopelessness and madness, then here more likely detachment and apathy to everything around, as well as fatalism. The vocals became more even and restrained, there was almost no tear in the voice (except for the hit of the album - “Fascination Street”), the tempo of the songs decreased. Because of this, and also because of the rather long duration of the songs and the whole album as a whole, you are unlikely to have the strength to “swallow” it at a time. And is it necessary? To relax a bit, three songs are enough. Somewhere in the 2nd minute, the gaze rises to one point, thoughts flow slowly and measuredly, and the psyche, inflamed by "Pornography" (82), calms down. The album was deservedly received by the public favorably. Someone joyfully even dubbed him a revolution, but I’m afraid of such a comparison. Just a good album that can be recommended to all music lovers. The Cure after an incomprehensible wandering in the dark finally receive worldwide recognition. Their work undergoes reevaluation and again attracts the views of many.

An authentic (both in sound and decoration) re-edition of the fantastic album (released in 1989) from the great English new wave/post punk band. Maybe, the most depressive their thing but a real masterpiece. Highly recommended!

This is undoubtedly one of the best work of the team during the period of the top of their work. This publication is significantly different from the previous ones for the better. And the design of the cover, and the sound quality. Good purchase.

The best Cure album. Robert Smith is best when he sounds depressed or melancholy and this album has it in spades. The music is intricate with layers of melodies woven together into a rich tapestry. Brilliant!

What a great album. I was not really a Cure fan until I heard some songs from "Bloodflowers" on Triple JJJ. I really liked what I heard and bought the whole album. I was informed this was just as good, so I got this and was pleasantly surprised.
