Mit â??Dead Cities" verabschieden sich Future Sound of London fÃ¼r mindestens 5 Jahre aus dem Rampenlicht und zeigen, dass die Gruppe wieder einmal etwas Neues ausprobiert. Das Thema des Albums, das auf dem Cover (die wie immer von der Gruppe selbst erstellt wurde) grÃ¼ndlich erforscht wird, scheint der futuristische stÃ¤dtische Verfall zu sein. Das allgemeine Blade Runner-GefÃ¼hl von â??Dead Cities" wird durch die Verwendung von Mary Hopkins eindringlichen, wortlosen Vocals aus dem Soundtrack des Films noch verstÃ¤rkt. Zwei der stÃ¤rksten Momente auf "Dead Cities" sind die erstaunliche Single "We Have Explosive" und der Semi-Remix "Herd Killing". -

Recorded at Earthbeat Studios, London '96. Published by Sony Music Publishing. "Printed in UK" on the rear cover, "Made in the UK" on the CD. The last hidden song, track 13.3 - Dead Cities re-prise recorded by Simon Wells at Headstone Lane from Snuff Recordings, 'The Disappearance Of Troy Motherwell'. Some copies have been labelled on the back of the jewel case near the barcode with Promotional Copy Not For Resale sticker (these were used for the UK and Europe countries in which the album hadn't a dedicated promo pressing).
