2012 release, the third album from the French Black Metal band. Les Voyages de L'âme (The Journeys of the Soul) contains the quintessence of the group's creative work to date. While Le Secret, the debut EP from 2005, was the key to the world of Alcest, Les Voyages... unites everything that characterizes Alcest in terms of concept and music. Something that is common to all of the songs is the predominant feeling of euphoria and bliss, always subtly overshadowed by melancholia and yearning. Les Voyages de L'âme is a prime example of a wonderful piece of music, breaking all genre boundaries and enthusing fans of many different musical backgrounds.

"Les Voyages de l'âme" is the third studio album by French band Alcest, released in CD format by Prophecy Productions. This record continues Alcest's unique blend of shoegaze and black metal, often referred to as "blackgaze," creating an ethereal soundscape that transports listeners into a dreamlike world. The album features lush melodies, atmospheric guitar work, and Neige?s haunting vocals, exploring themes of spirituality and transcendence. Vagner C. - 15/Dec/2019 The sound of Alcest is something hard to describe as there are so many elements present in their music. Les Voyages de LAme is a very good album, although not their best, which is Kodama.
