 | Description: | 2012 album from this Progressive Metal band hailing from Germany, founded by guitarist Peter Degenfeld-Schonburg and keyboardist Christopher Tarnow in 1999. After several line-up changes, they finally cemented a line-up featuring Oberender (long time collaborator of famed producer Sascha Paeth) and two singers Herbie Langhans (male) and Dylenia Mar (female). This interesting line-up of professionally trained musicians gave life to a concept album, the Old Man And the Spirit, dealing with the polarity of human sensuousness and superhuman awareness. The latter is embodied by the character of the Spirit. She is the personification of all wisdom and awareness that is unachievable to mankind; however, lacks the ability to feel. Her opponent, the character of the Old Man, is presented as a bon vivant who has lived through all highs and lows of human sensation. The result is a truly interesting set of songs, which will certainly appeal to fans of such acts as Dream Theater, Vandenplas and Pain of Salvation. | | No. of tracks: |
