Weaving synths, glockenspiel and guitar with vocoder, boys choir and even Orson Welles narration, producer Parsons brilliantly interpreted the chilling works of Edgar Allan Poe on this 1976 LP. The Project's first release, it went Top 40 and notched hits with (The System of) Doctor Tarr and Professor Fether and the Raven ; here's the 1976 album and 1987 remix plus demos, unreleased "experiments" and more bonus material!
The original multitrack masters were transferred from a Soundcraft "Saturn" analog machine to a Sony 3324 DASH format 24 track recorder. The album was partially re-recorded and remixed at "The Grange" via an Amek Angela console to a Sony 1630 system digital stereo master - May and June 1987. Booklet included. Una mezcla del sonido de Alan Parson con una ópera rock y una banda sonora de una película es este álbum inspirado en la obra de Edgar Allan Poe. A veces son las canciones de Alan Parson en otras, las canciones son más una ópera rock y en otras son la banda sonora de alguna película. Realmente lo recomiendo. Un excelente CD Incluye un folleto de 24 páginas con fotos inspiradas en los temas de las canciones y sus letras.
