These 1963 sessions feature Sleepy John Estes, Big Joe Williams & Mike Bloomfield on guitar & Hammie Nixon on harmonica & jug - this was one of the 1st blues LP to feature mandolin, played by Rachell; 6 never before released cuts have been added to the original program.
Tracks 1 to 9 recorded at Mike Bloomfield's residence by Bob Koester and Pete Welding, March 6, 1963. Tracks 10 to 16 recorded by Bob Koester and Dan Queen at his residence, March 31, 1963. Tracks 2 to 4, 8, 9 and 14 are previously unissued.
